Hello all, Since yet, I haven't noticed that DS dev carts and 3DS dev carts have the same shape (see the pictures I took below). Then I wonder if someone has ever tried to dump a 3DS cart using the same way we do it for DS carts (with WoodDumper for example). DS and 3DS probably not work the same way. Voltage of frequency may be different. Has anyone information on this ? Or anyone knows if someone has ever tried to dump a 3DS game using a DS ? Thanks you
I have few 3DS but I don't know to use them yet. I just wonder if it is possible from a DS. I would like to test but I want to be sure that I will not damage the 3DS carts I have.
Thanks a lot for the answer. I have tried to dump a dev ctr cart with the "No gateway" methode (using an online website and a special file on my SD card) but it hasn't worked. But is was working with a retail game. So I wonder if 3DS dev cart can be dumped with a retail 3DS.
yes, dev support was added for the dumping of a similar-(or identical)looking dev cart. Make sure you disable decryption and trimming for a proper dump
Hello All, Just to update this thread. I haven't dumped the 3Ds cart yet, but I have been able to test is on a 3DS Panda. The cart contains an update to turn PAL Pandas into NTSC one. This was useful to me as I hade many NTSC carts to test. But I don't have a PAL Panda anymore haha.
Will look for that version and come back to you. But as the datas on the cart are probably still available on the Nintendo Development portal, I will not post them here, as it will not comply with the AssemblerGames rules, hope you understand
