I saw this thread about a 64Drive based method of dumping GB games: http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...-GB-games-saves-with-64drive-and-Transfer-Pak Is that currently the easiest method of dumping GB ROMs? What are the alternatives, if any, because I read the website warnings about the many risks with that GB ROM dumper.
I didn't say the warnings are about the games. Still, Id like to know if that's overall a reliable option or what are other possibilities.
I haven't used it for dumping protos, but it works fine for me. It currently has a small glitch where it may include unprintable characters for some games in the file name, making them uncopyable, but that's the only problem I came across. Otherwise, you could use a Retrode, mine works great (though, again, I haven't tried it on a proto). I believe there are some other USB dumpers out there, but they were made in short supply and aren't available inexpensively anymore. You could use a parallel port dumper, but some (not sure on the number) of them have been reported to corrupt carts.
Thanks for the suggestions. The retrode sounds like a pretty good option, actually. So I guess I'll need to pick up the Game Boy plugin for it as well if I were to choose it.
