Good Morning Just wondered what the best way to go about doing this actually is? I had originally assumed it would require more than just imgburn and a bluray drive? Any input would be appreciated, kind regards. Rikki
If you have the Beta on a BD-R you can simply dump it with IMGBurn etc. If on the other hand this is somewhat of a finalized disc (like a promo version etc.) which also runs on a retail machine, then your best bet is to dump it via one of the 1000 backup managers out there. Regards, iCEQB
oh no protections at all so! sounds great maybe a bit off-topic but.. someone tried to install some loaders on ps3 TEST consoles? It could be interesting to dump the games on a big internal hdd to save some time.
Couldn't you install linux and dd the image onto your hdd? I recall this was the first method aviable to dump ps3 games.
I asked my great friend Robert_Kendo to attempt this for me, using a 1:1 (LCISOcreator) dumper he dumped a beta, then copied that beta using imgburn that beta to a second disc, then dumped that second disc, after checking the hashes they were not the same, so somewhere along the dump has been tampered with, any thoughts guys? Kind regards.
It probably was. As I recall before the whole jailbreaking setup became available there existed copious amounts of imaged PS3 games, they just didn't float around torrent sites and what have you because you couldn't do jack with them. IIRC, you still can't do jack with those old images either. Memory serves that they weren't decrypted and thus were/are useless.
Only thing I can think of are media related information to cause the mismatch. He should checksum the files ... if they differ, then I absolutly have no idea. My infos come from this leaked Virtua Fighter 5 Preview BD-R which was released ages ago and the source said that you can simply copy the BD-R ... it worked w/o any problems.
No you can use all those old PS3 dumps before jailbreaking came along. You just have to swap out the eboot with a decrypted one and there are tons of them out there. I have done this with a few games I could only find in ISO format and got a friend to send the eboot as the scene hadn't properly redumped the game. If you want to dump the disc I use Linux on the PS3 to dump the image then use a BM just to obtain the eboot as every rip with a BM tends to never match up but dumping via Linux on the PS3 works perfectly every time except for the un-decrypted eboot.
