I got this unit with a broken CD drive. The sled was broken on the pickup. I ordered a whole new sled which is a sony KSM-2101ADM for 60 bucks. In the mean time I was able to put a little super glue on the bushing to get it working again. This does have the BT9107 encoder which should support RGB output Some dark and crappy pics. I'll document the board better when I take it out for the RGB mod. The menu also it still showed the correct datetime
Well, this battery is substantially bigger than those that had to fit into the timekeeper ICs (LR66 or sth along those lines), but yeah, 17-26 years ain't bad.

I'm thinking the LG 700 and the DVS are the same. I'd like to see inside the LG 700 to confirm. The back side is identical and I'm guessing they just changed the front plate. Maybe they had an overstock of the 700's and needed to liquidate? maybe they made a deal with DVS. The back of my DVS says the manufacture is LG.
