http://www.ncsx.com/2007/031907/ncs0319m.htm This game was discussed a bit here and word was it's on a newer gen hw. Well looks like the game is actualy naomi and on cart.
Well, that's awesome...but something tells me that I'll never be able to play it let alone afford it.
Pocari Sweat is a drink over here. There's another called Calpis however it sounds like they say Cow Piss to me  Yakumo
I was really looking forward to a stunning Lindbergh-powered next generation update of Dynamite Deka (which I'm sure many of you will agree is how the Streets Of Rage series might play if Sega hadn't tried and failed to resurrect this franchise in the past already), but now I know for sure it's running on the NAOMI hardware it seems as if the one-time "Die Hard Arcade" is being mistreated by Sega as a last push-off for its old hardware. For example, the last two games utilised the ST-V and Model 2 boards respectively despite both platforms long since being replaced by more powerful alternatives. Maybe the possibility of a Dreamcast version might just change my view on what is essentially a great waste of time and resources... unless the developers know a way of squeezing extra performance from the NAOMI that has never been seen before, which I seriously doubt will happen!
In some ways I'd like NAOMI to die so I can afford one , but this is surely good news for the small scale Japanese arcade developer community. If Sega are willing to continue to support NAOMI cart-based hardware then we'll still see those me-too 2D shooters.
That's the only hope that I can hold, but don't you suspect that the run of the game would be fairly small?
Well even if the run only last 6 months to a year, usualy games dont drop down to the $500 or less range till after 2-3 years (Metal Slug 6 is slowly getting close to the less then $500 mark along with fist of the north star for atomiswave).
