Is anyone here in the industry heading to this year's E3? I just received my e-mail invite, and am wondering who else may try to attend. I'm debating on whether to go.
E3 2006 was worth my time and money. 2007 wasn't, nor will 2008. I want my booth babes back. Even when I attended the show it wasn't about the news... everything you saw or do was already in the public's hands the second the show opened and press releases went out. E3 used to be so much more though... and now it is not. Boo.
Funny how PAX, a convention that started with nothing but a bunch of oldschool gamers turned out to be the biggest gaming expo this side of the world thanks to the decline of E3. Fuck, maybe we should make a convention, the ASSEMblerXpo:lol: :nod:
i'm definitely not going to E3. but PAX is going to be amazing as usual. i've gone the last two years and it never ceases to amaze me!
Yeah, it's nice to see PAX fill the hole left by E3. I could see myself going to that one of these years, but first and foremost I'd like to attend GDC.
