So it turns out the Metal Gear game on the 3DS is just a tech demo and a game is currently not in development for it. Although Hideo wasn't going to dismiss that the game wouldn't happen in the future but it wouldn't look like that claiming it would be too much strain on the eyes. http://www.siliconera.com/2010/06/16/will-metal-gear-solid-snake-eater-3d-be-an-actual-game/
I was told it was done for "nostalgic purposes" but at the same time slight improvements in the 3-D textures. Works for me
And just think 15 years ago...RARE was touting "ACM " Advanced Computer Modelling in the original DKC games is no longer required. Its all real-time in "DKC Returns", at last
I'll put it to you this way...I demoed the 3DS...I wouldn't be surprised if Hollywood will start porting all their 3-D films ( especially Avatar ) and make them downloadable for the 3DS. Yes, the 3-D effect is that good  I was also impressed to see an arcade classic and 8-bit NES games in 3-D like: -Mega Man -Castlevania -Urban Champion -Xevious Nintendo truely has a HUGE hit on their hands while Sony has alot of work cut out for them if they want to be anywhere near the future success of 3DS.
There's no need to tease people. Should the 3DS end up a HUGE success - and it will. Konami / Hideo will bring the MGS franchise to the 3DS, no doubt. I would love for the Silent Hill games to be brought over in 3D as well !
Is it just me or does the new Castlevania look like crap? It's like they made it a bad 3D beat 'em up for no good reason And Nintendo succeeded, I want a 3DS, I don't care if the resolution is low or whatever.
The new castlevania is just another GOW ripoff like others... $150 glasses? shit, another reason NOT to get a 3DTV... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!OH: What about Donkey Kong 64? What does it use to store the movies? SD cards? streaming could be a possibility, given 3DS lowres screen.
Pfff, 2 Systems taped together is old news and in the past. The future is in 4 systems taped together. Sega started it in the arcades and sony will bring the tech home!
That's fine if it's going to be a discount title. If it is going to be full price then they are just being lazy and trying to get it out the door as fast as possible.
Jokes aside, sony could get a upper hand here if the PSP2 had one big single 800x400 multitouch screen, so the player can play with regular controls or touch depending of the game. That would also allow devs to port lots of iphone games, or even PC games like RTS and point&click. Trow a front cam for eyetracking and you got a much better 3D effect. But of course it all depends on sony not fucking things up again, since the PSP was far superior in hardware to the DS and failed nonetheless
And a second stick, BC with PSP and a super power system spec wouldn't hurt either. Actually the biggest thing i'm looking forward to better integration with PSN as the PSP came before PSN and as a result it's support is basic/simplistic. PSP2 games should support online off the bat if it supports any form of multiplayer (sure multiplayer is really popular in japan because of local play but there isn't any reason why there shouldn't be online play as well, studios have no problem with doing it for every console game they make).
Someone needs to photoshop this. Ken Kutaragi with two PSP Go's over his eyes. "I'M BACK AT SONY, AND I BROUGHT THE FUTURE WITH ME!!!"
You mean like this? Yeah, I know they should technically be facing the other way, but it looks better like this
How about PSP2 trophies as well! I can now longer play games without some sort of objective...it just doesn't feel the same. Now your on to something!
