    E3 IS ALMOST UPON US.
    WHAT WILL THE FUTURE BRING?

This is sure to one of the most important E3 shows ever. With profits down
and the industry losing money due to the next generation gap, E3 will be a big sign
if we are in for feast or famine in the coming year.

Microsoft: Microsoft must keep their image of being first and strongest to market. Being the only layer in the next generation market has it's advantages, and disadvantages. Almost every supporting developer of 360 has had money problems because of the jump to next generation hardware. EA has lost money this quarter, and if that isn't a bad sign, I don't know what is.

Sony: The latecomer, competing at the show for attention with Nintendo. While not remotely a direct competitor with Nintendo, the Wii can possibly steal some of Sony's much needed attention and thunder. Are we in for another batch of renders? Will we have anything playable that exceeds the level of 360? For sony, that distinction is very crucial. If there is no noticeable difference, then PS3 is just a very later to market 360.

Nintendo: Coming off the large amount of bad press and fan reaction to the weak name branding of the new console, a lot is expected of them. Given no press is bad press, they still have to prove to gamers that the Wii isn't a child's toy. Nintendo may very well be left without a pot to wii in if Sony's showings overshadow their display.

Hollywood: Once again hollywood thinks it can make games. Not having learned during the whole FMV fiasco, is seems hollywood is looking to waste large amounts of cash turning weak plotted mainstream movies into mediocre MMORPG games. Good luck to them, and kudos to those taking their money. Please make it hurt, so they don't try again for a very, very long time.
