Dumps of the M27 and M28 EPROMs labeled as "E70 V2.0 M27/M28" from an E7000 PC box. Pics below, file attached.
I was looking to purchase one to dump Sophia BIOS ROMs. If you had the time can I just send them to you to dump? I’m happy to pay return postage - it’ll be cheaper than me buying one of these
I interleaved the 2 ROMs together into more "viewable" format...easier to disassemble and pull strings. I've updated the .zip above, and will attach the one file to this reply.
What would the use be for this? Thank you for uploading these files. I'm afraid that I myself will never be able to try/use one of these machines. They'd be useful for Saturn development (sniffing the CPU caches, checking for stalls in the pipeline, etc.).
I posted the ROMs just for history's sake. Maybe someone can use them to repair a broken E7000 someday. The device itself is a hardware emulator for the SH2 processor found in the Saturn.
Thanks for the explanation. Do you happen to have an idea as to how much it costs to buy one? Are they very difficult to find?
This one is spoken for, not sure how difficult they are to find in the wild. I haven't seen a ton of them, but they are around. Some details on Saturn dev and the E7000 here: http://cowboyprogramming.com/2010/06/03/1995-programming-on-the-sega-saturn/
Got it. It looks like it doesn't function alone. I was hoping to find one and use it to run performance tests.
