I just hope those that bought Sim City don't get left with a product they can't play any more if EA shuts it's doors.

EA is layoff more workers, to some this isn't a surprise.

EA isn't folding, even though the gaming world would be better off if they did at this point.

LOL. More like "EA has lost workers, due to stupid choices in the past". I doubt they sacked these people, I think they just left.

It's unfortunate that people had to lose their jobs, but the real tragedy here is that we lost three Facebook games.

"Sims Social, SimCity Social, and Pet Society"

All gone because they were total garbage, even as far as social games go they weren't very good.

wont be much love for EA in the gaming community, feel bad for people who lost their jobs, hopefully they'll end up elsewhere in the industry.

big shake ups are needed especially with the big corporations like EA, they've made terrible decisions in recent years, and churn out buggy, unfinished or unready games = take a look at THQ
not to mention their other business decisions and practices.

shadow of the company the once were. "focusing on social and mobile market" = we screwed up we'll just hop over here to rake some cash in for a while. we can get up to all kinds of dodgyness here!
