hi guys i need some help , i wear Ear Plugs often and it's $1 AUS a pair. I found on RS Electronics i can bulk buy 200 pairs for $60 AUS but i can't figure out which i should get. I want to get what i use now in bulk , below are 2 links. there's 23db and 29db , i'm not sure which i'm using now as the packaging says very little on it. I even scanned the Barcode with my mums phone , no matches on google. i can say i can hear and watch TV and have conversations while i use my current plugs so i'm thinking i have the 23db model. i can take a photo of what i have if needed. Why do you need them? I would always go with the higher rating. I don't have experience with barrel shaped plugs. I have worn cone shaped plugs with a 32db nrr and I can still hear what's going on around me. You can adjust the depth in your ear to block more or less sound as needed.
Foam plugs are pretty much garbage. They're a poor man's ear defenders in industrial situations. They aren't intended for hearing through, really. If you want to do that, get some proper musician-style ear plugs. Cheapish ones like ACS are fine. If you're protecting your ears from drills and such, over-ear are better. That (£35) sounds really expensive, by the way... 200 3M 37dB £26.99 50 Dewalt 32dB £7.99 500 3M Ear Soft 36dB soft neons £46.99
