It's a bangaa - one of the lizardmen from Final Fantast Tactics Advance.

*looking through pictures* Oh Christ, they're using the moogle character designs from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. That's gonna suck...

 

Well the world is looking amazing. I just don't like how Girlie the main male lead is. I know it appeals to some people but not to me.

 

yeah, me too. well, it's more her little pink skirt that bother me. i mean, WTF? she's suposed to battle with that on? and it's just doesn't fit in the ''medial time' style at all, even for a fantasist one.


Anyway, don't want to be wiped by the hype, but the games seems (I said seems here) really promising, i just love the multi-culture thing, with races and all. more fantasy help alot when a tittle is named final fantasy.

edit: if you want to see the ''prototype'' style of ff12, just check the images 1019 ans 1020, that's the artwork they based themselves to create ff12 universe and style. (well, the universe is the same as vagrant strory)

I wonder why the gba only FFTA Bangaa is coming over to PS2. It could be on the GC as well.

 

Actually, the universe of FFXII is set in the same one as Final Fantasy Tactics Advance on the GBA, which is loosely based off of the one from the original Final Fantasy Tactics. FFXII takes place in the same kingdom of Ivalice as FFTA, and includes the races from the game - humans, Moogles, Bangaa, and the Viera - those bunny girls in the screenshots.

True, the main character is rather effeminate, but I'm still looking forward to this one in the way I haven't looked forward to a Final Fantasy since FFVIII (or possibly FFTA). Has there been a US/Japanese release date set yet?

 

I hated FF8 with a passion, but I grinned and bore it (literrally) and beat it, and one of the the hardest bosses ever, Omega Weapon.
I wonder if you can play as the different classes, as I've heard this isn't a turn-based game. MAYBE its a strategy tpye game, just with souped up graphics from the strategy games I normally play.
