The game is out. And no one talks about it... It's any good? I'm a big fan of the former games. Seems like they fixed some of the problems, like better vehicles, no more random weapon drops, and added 3 player online co-op! Also, with a calendar like this, the game must be good ;-)
Vehicles? Did I miss something? I just had a great time the other day playing Chikyuu Boueigun 2 with a friend. What a riot, even if the controls are difficult to get used to.
Yeah, you've missed something, considering that EDF 2017 already had vehicles. I've waited for this game for a while now, but it won't even be released in Europe until Thursday.
I just received the game yesterday. For my surprise, it does not have a manual! It's just the box, cover and dvd. :-( The game is exactly what I was expecting. Good and fun gameplay, lot's of giant bugs and robots to kill. It got a better user interface. It's easier to select classes and weapons. 3 player online co-op is a nice addition too. Graphics and animations are much better than the previous game. It's a truly next-gen version of E.D.F, and still, have the same b-movie feeling.
I don't know, I don't really like it. Graphics look way too realistic - gone are both the colorful, over-the-top look of the prequels and the massive sense of scale that EDF2017 offered. Gameplay wise it's ok, but it has a lot less in common with the ones developed by Sandlot, than expected.
