Earthbound 64 was a cancelled sequel to Earthbound (Mother 2) that started development in 1996 on the 64DD and was cancelled in summer of 2000. it was later remade for GBA as "Mother 3" in japan exclusively. Spoiler: Screenshots Spoiler: Videos
The art style grew on me and the sting of the cancellation didn't hurt too bad. I feel like the N64 version would have ruined me on the series like it did with Earthworm Jim.
I found it funny how even though the artstysle changed drastically, fans still pushed it to be completed for n64. I do have a soft-spot for EB64 because I saw it in an old magazine my uncle owned. Didn't know it was unreleased so I thought I could buy it. One day I looked for some videos of it a year later and found out it was cancelled. but I feel like if this was in the SNES style it would be way better then the EB64 art style.
Nice, wish we would see somthing new for once, these pics have been circulating for years on the net Question, what is the point of this thread? Im pretty sure everyone here knows about the game or atleast heard about it.
wanted to compile all of the media I could find on it. speaking of media I think some music tracks were made public by the composer. I'll hunt them down.
I'd hope you know about Starmen http://starmen.net/eb64/ May not have all the latest stuff, but it's a good starting point.
