    so far 40 deaths... and shear destruction in a few cities. i'm far from the place and nicola and the others too i guess.

    i hope no relatives of anyone are around the place.

    Yes hope all is all well with our members and their relatives in Italy.

    My mother just got back to me to say she was ok, but she lives further north.

    yeah. i hope so too. looks like a big mess there now:-( most of the old italian buildings are just not made for an M6.3 earthquake:-(

    yes, but many were in not so good conditions too... expecially in the smallest towns people had old houses and no money to stabilize them or rebuild... concerning historical buildings, i guess it can't be done much

    so far the death toll seems to be around 100, and 50000 people are not expected to sleep home tonight and in the next days...
