I'd been wondering what this DualShock DB-9 controller I have was for until I stumbled upon an old image from this forum of the EB-2000 PS2 Development Kit and noticed it was identical, matching connector style etc. The controller came to DeChief and myself with a lot of other genuine development hardware for the Sony PlayStation and a few other systems so I was confident there was some authenticity to it. I've had a very hard time finding any other images of the EB-1000 / 2000 system though, are there any others around?
Those were made for the PS1 devkits, they can use the DB-9 controllers or regular ones with the breakout box. What's the model number of the controller? I've never found another EB unit picture anywhere...
The controller is a regular SCPH-1200, same as the controllers included with the DTL-H 2000 are regular SCPH models. A friend who owns a DTL-H 2000 kit compared the controllers and the connectors are different, the DualShock I have matches the controller plugged in to the EB-2000 up there with the connector being the same. I assumed as the EB was a pre PS2 TOOL device they might have used DualShock 1's temporarily.
