I've been looking for a mega pc for a while.. this auction came at a really bad time for me (I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow)

 

Hehe! I didn't think I would get see one on eBay ever again. (^_^)

 

Im pretty sure this is the one that sold on yahoo japan for ~$15 2-3 weeks ago.

Interesting to note (people who claim there are only ~10 left and only ~100 made, listen carefully!); this is the 3rd doshin sample Ive seen with that "serial number" (C089C04)

I've owned 2 or 3 of the samples. Unfortunately I sold them before anyone knew what they were and the prices were low...heh. Nowadays they're a little more famous. Maybe in 5 years I've seen a total of 10 of them..? Still pretty rare if you ask me. And that's a good seller.

 

Im not saying they are not rare, but when some people claim there are only ~10 left in the world, I call (major) BS. Even if 500 were made they would still be very rare as I would imagine only a small portion of them are sold on auction sites.

Be warned - as far as I am aware (from personal experience), the sync on the Mega Drive is non-standard so I think you need the monitor that came with it too. Not sure though, so if anyone knows better...

 

Non-standard as in Sync on green? Because if its like that, i can tell that modern lcd screens work just fine. At least sgi's use that, and my indy works just fine with a sgi -> vga adaptor which i got from ebay for a few bucks.

 

Oh yeah...speaking of the doshin sample disk....here is another one for sale on yahoo japan atm
