is ok, but the "defamation" is only for the nickname in this case, not for the shitty thing on sale! if the seller is stupid, there is not our problem

I ain't censoring jack shit! these sellers are fails that need to be named and shamed as far as i am concerned i would never buy a single game from them and if they go bankrupt it's their problem for being shitty sellers in the first place.

but seems to this forum is double-face, from one part we all love games and something, but from other part... some people love to tease inexperienced ebay sellers, only because some sellers want to made fun or just put on "wrong" price thanks to ", and ." in the auction... ok, we have some discussion also here! xD but this is really different... and more offensive as any other gaming forum. btw... I am not from ebay or police, so is not my problem... just wanted to know "where is the funny" in all that.

funny for me is something like this... :biggrin-new:

How dare we lambast shit pricing, oh and aren't you the one that's claiming all Italian folk are scammers? Exactly what I'd expect from a person posting lolcats though.

and what if they aren't inexperienced and just put high prices on crappy items and common games just to rip unaware customers off like many post in this thread you can't say that someone with more then 1000 stars is inexperienced !

Like I mentioned in the other thread. Yaroze is a dipshit, I'm sure his asshole is glued shut too.

The fact that this isn't 4chan, or any other forum were you post picture for every response will start to bother everyone.

Lastly as another user mentioned: This is a "SHAME" thread, that's the point of it. Learn the meaning of words before you press CTRL-V.

We are NOT shaming inexperienced sellers. We are naming and shaming sellers who are very experienced in ripping people off and they deserve to be known.

And in my opinion also removed from Ebay as they give the place a bad name.

Congratulations, you appear to have met the more 'opinionated' members of ASSEMbler. I don't think you've entirely completed the set for your Pokédex, but you've made a good start. :p

Whilst I agree it's probably wrong to 'name and shame' them with no prior knowledge, this thread was initially designed to warn people about checking the value of an item before blindly accepting the cost - and hence, the lack of blanking out the more personal parts of the image. However, it does have a bit of a tendency to point out pretty ludicrous pricing that no-one here would likely fall for, and also does tend to cause the more occasional sellers to get caught in the crossfire.

The people here do have a point though: a seller's username is the equivalent to a shop name, and they have clearly made it publicly visible alongside their sales. They are images so they are not searchable (which can be an issue if someone's looking up information on a seller via Google - unlikely seeing as eBay already has a seller rating), so only someone looking at this page will find them unless they specifically were reading this thread.

The sellers recently commented upon have feedbacks of over 500 if not in the thousands, which implies they are not 'casual' sellers but people who have an understanding that they have checked the value of an item before putting it up and are not only attempting to falsify the value intentionally, but their actions may cause the price to be driven up for all older games as 'casual sellers' tend to check eBay for value rather than more traditional pricelists.

It's definitely a grey-area though, something I'd personally choose not to wade too deeply into. Personally, though, I feel that if a particular person has issue with their listing being shown on the site (as they feel it is defamatory), they would easily be able to contact the moderators, ASSEMbler or the OP and get it removed.

Got a few good deals from Amazon/Ebay, given up now because of people lying to me.

This is Amazon not Ebay, same difference.

I enquire about a game for £3.99, they tell me it has the manual.

I check back and the price has gone up to £4.99, did they think I wouldn't notice?

I'm not an idiot and I wouldn't have even emailled if the game was that price,
then they avoid the question of jacking up the price by saying ''all our games are £4.99''
even though I just bought one from them for £2.99.

The game was sent in something which has the consistency of an elasticated binbag and offered no protection whatsoever.

They have barely any ratings and not even 100% do not deal with cash4that on Amazon.

I don't care about defamation of character I don't even care if you ARE cash4that.
