I thought you'd all find this amusing. http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Chase-H-q-...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5884dd0947 What a bargain!
I don't use eBay any more, and haven't for ten years because the risks of getting ripped off are too great. This sort of listing tells me that eBay is now suffering from the same problem as the stock exchanges, in that it's rigged to take advantage of automation. There are scripts making listings with certain numbers, and scripts making purchases with certain numbers, and sometimes the two line up and money changes hands without anybody actually authorizing it. eBay's rules are designed to let people profit based on badly-coded purchasing bots that way, and I'm certain this listing in particular was intended for that purpose.
Notice how the item is sold as 'working' yet there are no pictures (at all!) of the game up and running?! And then it's sold 'as is'.
It is fairly easy not to get scammed if you browse smartly. I still buy regularly on Ebay, and I've only been scammed a few times over 5 years ago when I really didn't pay as much attention.
