No idea what to make of this.

    I won this auction - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260407735066

Straight after the auction I emailed the seller to ask what day was suitable to send a courier down to collect the parcel (as she stated in the listing this was allowed).

I immediately got this response - hiya im sorry im not selling it for that price, i never imagined it would sell for such a ridiculous price, i hope u understand regards jo

    I responded with - ???

Isn't that the risk you take when you list with no reserve?

Where do we go from here if you are refusing to sell?!

Her response - yes i suppose it is, im so sorry but i just didnt realise, ive only sold a couple of items and im not really used to it yet, im so sorry i hope you can understand, its my mistake and i should have put a reserve on it, many apologies jo

Me - You should really have read the rules before starting to list things. I could have you kicked off ebay for this as if you do read the rules of 'selling' on ebay you will find that this is a binding legal agreement which you have just broken by refusing to sell me the item.

    I am slightly pissed off.

What would you consider a 'fair' price for this item? I was only really bidding for the cube itself anyway, could this be sold on its own and you keep the games to resell!

    Kris

And finally her - i am truly sorry i never meant to cause offence, i just didnt realise and yes your right i should have read the rules better, im gonna try and sell this lot again together and i have started the auction at a little higher, im selling them for my son so im keen to get him a little more money, i hope you will understand and once again i apologise regards jo

My head says report her to ebay but my heart says leave it. What do you think?

You offered to buy it at a fair price, and she decided to re-list the items. So you already tried with your heart to be nice, so I say report her.

Looking at her profile out of boredom, and spotted a negativ. You have seen that already right?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260399941327

Lost as in what sense, the games disappeared?

You should probably report it, what kind of behaviour is that.

edit: haha, whats up with this?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260399943981

It says 3 games and 1 movie. But i see 4 games on the picture.

Buy it for a silly amount, get a mate to stick in £200 and then you bung in £250. Then when it finishes, just say 'Nah, I decided it wasn't what I wanted, I was actually looking for a hairdryer...' and she can't do much as is the want with the stupid new eBay rules!

Only kidding btw - report the silly cow, she's taking the piss - we've all been in the position where an item didn't achieve the price we hoped, but I am certain most of us honored the deal. I am also sure that most of us would be aware of 'reserve' pricing to avoid this sort of disappointment in the first place.

negative feedback and if you're really angry, sue her for breach of contract.

I have decided I am going to report her.

I gave her a chance to give me a fair price and she relisted it!

I sold a sealed saturn game a while back and I lost money as I had under quoted on postage and the remainder didn't even cover the selling price. I still sent it though!

Report her. Even when my FM Towns Car Marty sold for £10 and I had to put £5 postage due to ebay's silly rules I still sent it, despite loosing a lot of money on it.

    Quote on her listing:

"This is a 1 day auction and there is no reserve on this item so bid away and grab a bargain."

So she knew about there being no reserve and took the risk.

And her negative feedback says it all! report her.

If she didnt have any negative feedback and didnt list it as a no reserve bargain then you are right you should leave it.. but this is stupid.
You will probably never get the item for that price but hey you will give her some extra stress by reporting her so its worth it and she can learn from it.

Looks like she lied about not selling much before then. Theres pages and pages of stuff she has sold. Also it would appear shes sold a few fakes before..

I don't know what the small claims court process is in the UK but I would consider using it.

Ok guys. Took all the comments on board and decided I need to stop being so soft on people and start putting my foot down.

I sent this as a last chance - This isn't good enough to be honest.

I quote in your listing - "This is a 1 day auction and there is no reserve on this item so bid away and grab a bargain."

So you know about reserves and what they are!!!

I also looked back through your old purchases and you actually bought the Gamecube itself for 99p.

I am afraid that unless you allow me to send a courier to collect what I have won I have no choice but to report you to ebay.
I will even, as my last way of helping you, allow you so send only the boxed gamecube (complete) and you can keep the games!

    Last chance saloon!
    Kris

I got this in response - ok report me, sorry

I am off to report her now! Bitch! :icon_bigg
