Hi, I made a purchase July 7th for a copy of Battlefield 2 on PC for $25.00 buy it now with free shipping. I have made several attempts to contact the seller (i.e. telephone and emails), but have received no response. The phone number isn't even his anymore... So, I want to report this to eBay, but went to the Help section and did not find it. Could someone please provide a link to where I need to go from here?
Go to My Ebay, Item's you've won, there under that item there should be a link to report a deadbeat seller. You should be able to get your money back from Paypal too since it was only a few weeks ago.
If you paid with paypal file a claim and file one on eBay too like others have said. If you paid via postal MO you can check if it's been cashed or not. Then that'll give you an idea what to do next.
Alright, I filed the claim a while ago, and here is the new status that just showed today. We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover $0.00 USD. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time. Should I be giving this guy a negative as well?
Yeh. Call the authorities... you can file complaints about internet fraud directly with the FBI at their Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFFC) http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp. You can also go to www.usps.com and file a complaint for postal fraud, and most state Attorney Generals have an online internet fraud complaint form. Since you said the seller lives in New Hampshire, contact authorities up there as well. Call your credit card company as well. You have to keep pushing.
