I won an auction for a "TV de advance" unit on ebay.

It's a device that you can hook into the board of the GBA and play on your TV. Sort of like a dev box.

So the package shows up and it's some POS chinese TV tuner.
You can't even play games on it with this gigantic pos on it,
plus has a 2 foot long antenna.

So I file a paypal chargeback after his few short responses.
He clearly has no idea what a TV de advance is.

So I tell him, I won't pull the claim until I see a tracking number for the
correct item. He tells me "keep the worng item" and he will mail the right one.

So I get the tracking number, fire it up, and it's ONE POUND.

I don't know about you, but I don't think you can ship ANYTHING for one pound. Some old site archives list it as 1.75 pounds shipped..

So what do I do? Claim anyway and risk fucking the guy over and
breaking my promise? Or cancel and wind up with a spongebob dvd...

He is selling a lot of generic items on ebay so I don't think he would be so malicious...

http://www.gameboy-advance.net/accessories/gba_to_tv_adapter.htm shows the original packaging.. you think there's a chance in hell that is one pound?

Judging from the picture, the 1.75lbs looks about right. Depending on who it was shipped through though, the actual billed weight may not be what shows up online/on the box. I know that I have gotten packages that have grossly underweight amounts printed on them.

Now, having said that, this guy probably just grabbed something he had laying around with the words "TV" and/or "advance" in the hopes of shutting you up. It's up to you, but I would buy a lottery ticket if he comes through the second time.

He could have lied about it on the form or something.

    Good luck with that.

Oh I have one of those.....I think. I haven't seen the actual unit in a few years but I can't imagine throwing it away. I still have those 2 small (blue & red) screwdrivers in my top desk drawer ;D

Ill see if I can find it and weigh it for you

Is this seller Chinese? If so, he probably just saw some English about "TV" and decided it was the same as the "TV de advance". And considering you got some clone, he probably figured no one would care about the diffrence :p
