User : ara sma rie (with spaces for obvious reasons)

First : i am sorry if the user uses to drop by in here, but what has to be said has to be said. Sorry dude. But you pissed me off.

Did any of you guys ever had to do with him?
I tried to buy a test cart from him, payed (with paypal) straight after the auction ended, he sent it out fast (apparently) the way I requested (normal registered shipping). Five weeks passed and the item had not arrived.
I bugged him and after like 10 mails from my side he answered that the postal package had came back labeled as undelieverable (apparently) and that he would re-send it with Priority mail. Realizing that it had been his fault (wrong address) he would pay all the fees. I asked kindly for a tracking number. And was happy that the package was not lost. Now it's been two more weeks and the package still is not here - which may be, but i have *NO* tracking number, *NO* feedback, *NO* response to my emails.

I can imagine he may have serious life issues (if that's the case) but I mean, it's not so hard to let me know, is it.

    Suggestions?

If you escalate the issue (do it before it expires!) he will have to provide the tracking details to paypal.

I once had a dude delay it a few times by telling me no worries bla its on its way until the point I was unable to escalate (40 days?) and then he just stopped replying me and I lost 50 bucks....

I think it was 40 days for ebay and 60 days for paypal by head, you should check this to make sure.

And when you have stuff posted by regular mail from lets say the states it may take 4-7 weeks excluding the time it took for the person to actually ship it.. so if something goes wrong the escalation window is very tight!

I thought it was 45 but if you paid by credit card your cc may offer up to 90 days

a cc chargeback will result in your paypal and ebay being closed.

Do the ebay forms now, it takes like 30 days to escalate (they get a chance to respond).

I've done cc chargebacks before and never had a complaint from eBay or PayPal.

around this time last year i was scammed for $180. this was through paypal and not ebay related.

After initializing a paypal dispute paypal sided in favor of the scammer. my bank (transaction funded with debit card) started a second paypal dispute, paypal again sided in the scammer's favor. But my bank took the loss and refunded my $$.

Since then i only fund with a Credit Card so as to never be scammed again, 100% fraud protection. :)

Since then paypal has had a classs acton lawsuit against them and funds have been given to ppl who have lost buyer disputes and not been refunded by their credit card company or banks.

I use paypal frequently but despise them still.......

Hell yes. For what they charge, you would expect them to be on the side of the majority that use the service : buyers.

I used to talk to the mentioned seller a lot in the past and considered him a friend collector, if there's such a term. So I'm very sad to hear this. Unfortunately I've lost contact with him so I can't be of much help :(
