He's lifting pictures off of Yahoo in Japan and listing items for sale on
eBay. What's amazing is that no one seemed to realize that all of his
pictures have different backgrounds...lol. Even buyers with highish
    feedback bid on his stuff.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know. I'm trying to report him and he should be off of eBay soon but until then pass the word around. He's listing high end Japanese consoles.

Sounds like he's just doing what a lot of people do. Buy from Yahoo Japan and then reselling on eBay at an inflated price to profit from the fact that Japanese sellers tend to not ship internationally. Nothing wrong with that. Just because someone is a competitor of yours doesn't make them a scammer.

Besides, ebay links belong in the eBay thread. How do we know this isn't just one of your eBay accounts and an attempt to get people to look at the auctions? It's been done before. :)

...wouldn't somebody leave negative feedback if they weren't getting their items?

It could be the same guy on both Yahoo and Ebay, although I doubt it.

Look at the size of the items, and ask if they can be had on YJ and FEASIBLY shipped to whever he is and sold at the prices he's offering. Not a shoe-in, but will give you an idea.

...or speak English or have a way to accept money internationally w/o $25 USD fees on both sides.

To find out if he's a scammer just ask for alternate pics, if he doesn't have them he's stuffed, a bit suspicious but not really stand out dodgy.

  9. Hmmm this thread reminds me anyone heard from Hi_Ricky?

Well he'd need to have many yahoo accounts as the yahoo sellers are mainly different.

Bizarrely enough I already posted this chap's duo monitor auction in the ebay thread. (and indeed contacted the winner who is a member here to voice my concern)

Sure, he's gettin stuff from yahoo and selling on ebay. Big deal.

Well actually it is imo. The items he's offering for sale are not in his possession. He sees an auction on yahoo, takes the piccies and makes an ebay auction to finish a little before the yahoo auction, if the ebay one sells he then wins the yahoo one. That might not bug some people but it would sure as hell bug me. There's no way he can accurately describe the items (and we're not talking loose coregraphxs) as he doesn't own them when he lists them on ebay. I wouldn't drop several hundred GPB if the seller doesn't have the item in his hands.

Plus I'm told he wanted £149 to send the duo monitor!

Hi everybody, I'm the winner of Duo Monitor
thanks to Wheelaa and to Hit-Japan too!!they sended me email about this situation
I've ask to seller soome others Pictures, but he told me "ok i will wait. by the way ,after list the monitor on ebay, i pack the monitor already, so is hard to get some more picture , sorry.
    mary"

Tomorrow I'll ask him why 149 pounds for shipment!ahahah..what he think, that I'm really STUPID????

the real problem is that I don't want a NEGATIVE feedback from a probably scammer!!

    Hey there

Actually I'll admit that I was quick to use the word "scammer" without 100% proof. It would have been better to say that this guy have some "irregularities" in his auctions, or something to that effect.

But to answer some of your questions...

Some of his eBay auctions ended before the Yahoo auctions did. It's not like they ended a month ago on Yahoo and are showing up on eBay now. Some were on both auction sites at the same time with the same picture.

The Yahoo auctions all have different buyers and sellers for every item.

    Other "red flags"...

His eBay account is 5 months old. All of his feedback (save 1) are from him buying single games. Suddenly, this guy has some of the rarest items in the world for sale and is using pictures that are in other auctions.

BUT...I did contact one Buyer (the first one, Panasonic Q Gamecube) and he said that he received his item. So, it might be possible that the guy is lifting pictures from Yahoo for product that he actually has. And, maybe it's just a coincedence that he happens to have a lot of rare items that are being offered on Yahoo right now. And maybe he does have the same accessories that the Yahoo Sellers are offering. Anything's possible, which is why I shouldn't have jumped the gun on the scammer label.

Either way, I thought people should know. They can make up their own minds. If I'm bidding $700 on a PC Engine LT I'd be curious as to why the same picture is being used in two auctions from two different Sellers on different sites in the same week. One of those buyers isn't showing the actual product they have. Might not be a scam, but that's an expensive item to buy to find out it's not what the picture shows. For something like a new Panasonic Q it's not that big of a deal, but for a new DUO monitor it is.

If they get their product then great, everything worked out and I'll apologize. I'd rather just send a message now saying, "Look at these two different auctions" rather than read a rant next week about being scammed and say, "Oh, yeah, I saw that but just didn't bother saying anything."

Well looks like Fedeweb posting while I was typing. May I ask what type of payment he's accepting? One buyer said he used Paypal, so the buyers should be covered. You'll notice the seller only has one auction right now. He might just be doing a quick cash grab and sticking paypal with the bill.

I talked to another buyer, the Sharp Famicom TV. He said that he got his item but it was damaged. Then he said that he was going to file a claim with UPS....but obviously from Hong Kong UPS wasn't used. Strange tho, he didn't know what I was talking about at first and asked me which product he bought...?

Here's the X68000 machine on Yahoo:

After my mail with some questions, the seller replied me:
hi, yes, you're right, the photo is same as you see at yahoo, and i'm the buyer (suetbe)which at yahoo.co.jp, so the DUO MONITOR which will delivery to your home is same as the one which on yahoo.co.jp, here is the deal, 400 pounds including the postage, thanks!

Could someone control if he is really suetbe?or ask it to suetbe?

First mail he asked me 149 pounds for shipment, now it is ok 39 pounds.
When I've askedv on first email more photos he replied:
"ok i will wait. by the way ,after list the monitor on ebay, i pack the monitor already, so is hard to get some more picture , sorry.
    mary "
Now he say " Yes, I'm suetbe"--> So..He told me a big Lie..

Many thanks to everybody and please help me contacting suetbe
