... That's really odd... You'd think Sega would have chosen a different name if a company named Jet Set was already making radios....

  2. I'll bet you anything that the head designer of Jet Set Radio probably had a radio like that in his home when he was young, and it was possibly the inspiration for the game..

  3. hens the title Jet Grind Radio in north america..

I don't know, I guess it could be real, but with the dull and scratched jewel and the fact that it comes with a green s controller and not a duke makes me a little suspicious. Doesn't seem like too much work depending on how much money you could get out of a forgery.

Anyway, here are acouple more things:

You have got to be kidding me... That's the worst "fake" devkit i've ever seen. "As with all debuggers, you must hit reset with game in tray to boot". What kind of lousey mod chip did they put in there? I've never heard of that before. Even with a solderless mod you just hold the eject button. I hope i don't have to say it here, but don't bid on this... He should have at least wrote "TEST" on the side of it with a blue sharpie or something... put some effort into it next time!

whats even more obvious is he wont show the top of the unit, which would say test of course.

Sounds like Neo-Magic 1.2 mod in there. Granted with my unit, need to hold the reset button to disable the chip to go online. Never the less the guy is a toolbox

DMS3 also uses this, though seeing the price of em, Id assume its a cheap-o magic 3.1 or something.

Only has a small not a large green controller as the launch teams ones had

Does look like a bad mod...almost a do it yourself.....

Would someone have given it to a pawn shop? but then only green US machines were the Halo ones weren`t they?

That's a pretty cool auction PA. The software alone must be worth a bundle.

I have seen that auction, but something smells really fishy about it. I am thinking stolen laptop.

That's exactly what it is. I sent him a question and he said he was an artist and can't bundle any dev software with it...

He said he has to delete anything related to the game he helped to develop.
