As some of you know, I have my shop on there. I keep having cases open against me because of people not reading the listing properly and it's driving me up the wall! Check this listing out:
    ClickMe!

A buyer has opened a case against me, for the game being in Japanese not english, Then has a fit saying its illegal to sell outside Japan. My god some people annoy me. READ THE FREAKING LISTING. Is eBay getting worse, or is it just me?

You must have an affiliate cookie for ebay loaded.

Basically if you visit links on some sites, they cookie your ebay
    to make money off you.

No shock. But really your listings should say Japanese not NTSC-J. Most people are idiots and won't know what that means.

They just see "New Super Mario Bros".

Still, paypal should side with you and if they don't I say sue or open a complaint with your equivalent of the BBB (better business bureau).

Sadly you pretty much have to put it in the title as well (even though it says NTSC-J).

Hope the legal route works up. Paypal/ebay is really pulling some illegal shit with the way they deal with things now.

I just hate the way ebay/paypal tackles things now, the seller NEVER wins. Luckily the yanks on the phone are quite helpful.

I fully agree with you. It makes me avoid selling there.

If its not Ebay its the sodding post. I stopped sending anything with out at least signed for tracking. Really sucks a 99p game now costs Nr £2 for postage. I got a warning for high P&P but with out tracking far too many went missing.

I NEVER use EBay. far too many pricks and the rules that EBay and paypal enforce are a joke for the seller. Yahoo Auctions all the way. Over 1000 auctions done and only 3 problems, 2 from racist Japanese sellers. 1 from an idiot who took a fit after I said I didn't want to buy his item anymore because he had opened it. The auction clearly said it was sealed. The customer I was buying it for clearly said he wanted a factory sealed game.

Apart from those three problems Yahoo Auctions is cool plus their refund policy is perfectly legit unlike the shit EBay and paypal pull. sadly Yahoo Auctions isn't an option for most of us. If only they could start up in the west using the same system that's used in Japan.

Yeah, ebay is on the worst point ever, free for scammers to do their "work" and paypal is helping them with their new "politics", I´m staying away now from ebay, was selling a lot back in the days but thats now clearly over.

And for yahoo auctions, this is indeed a good place to buy :)

It would not be the same, because Japanese sellers have a totally different approach to selling things, that is why Yahoo Japan is great.

I am of the impression that Japanese sellers are more honest and their items are often in better condition than described, unlike with western sellers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what makes Yahoo Japan great is mostly the people selling there.

I'm glad to hear you did not loose on both money and product! Selling on eBay has become more difficult without a doubt, but it can still be profitable, just miss the good old days of eBay were it was cheaper, easier and more fun to work on eBay . . . ahh the golden days

I've gotten to the point now that when I sell and item on ebay, I host the pictures myself and put them into a slideshow from flicker so when someone goes to my auctions, there are roughly about 20 ~ 30 pictures of the item so the person knows EXACTLY what they are buying.

Its a bit of a pain in the a$$ but I find I get more bids and more people watching my auctions because of it . . .
