As some of you know, i am a great fan of the N64.

Years ago a proto of Echo Delta went on ebay. At that time i bidded on the proto but lost (1000 USD offer when buy now was 1500 USD) :banghead::banghead:

During the years i searched vainly for this proto as i always wanted desesperatly to get this gem

It seems that the game has vanished from the surface of earth.

I am really desperated now. there is an old thread about this proto on assembler. At that time the owner was arsenal who also vanished.

The game was really nice it seems.

Plenty of Beta's/Alpha's and protos end up in the hands of private collectors who will lock them away in cabinet.

They'll leave them there forever and stare at them briefly during a masturbation session involving an online world of warcraft chat with a "female elf" (real name Derek from wisconsin) and a famicom cable wrapped around their nut sack.

Unless they die and pass it down to someone who is a community player you'll never see it again. However it's likely the owner will be buried with the proto along with a resin statue of Samus Arran, a 77,777th collectors piece of Final Fantasy Phoenix down in a can (so they can come back to life for MOAR!!! collecting and board trolling).

If you ever want to dig them up to retrieve said proto, it's quite likely they'll have the Tri-Force engraved on their tomb stone along with their online name and eve online level so they should be fairly easy to find.

The lesson to be learned here? Bid higher.

In all seriousness though you could ask a few other boards for people who were bidding on the item such as yourself and see if anybody contacted the seller. With enough info you could possibly track him/her down and offer to buy it or get some info, but don't hold your breath.

    I've had a bad day.

I seem to remember having discussed this previously on the forum.

There are several betas of Echo Delta out there. Arsenal owned one of them, but I can't remember if he sold his. Was it really his that sold on ebay?

I also seem to remember whoever bought the ebay proto lived in Norway. Wasn't there some kind of article about it in some newspaper that someone linked to?

Why is it that when someone spends a lot of cash on something and doesn't want to make it available to everyone, you're automaticly thought of as some kind of sick moron....

Twimfy, your post may be meant as fun, but posts like that makes me want to put even more locks on my proto cabinet... guess I'm not a team player!... but no one here is paying my (proto) bills either...

    Long time Shiggsy! :)

Well several betas? Are you sure or is it an assumption?

As soon as the proto on ebay disappeared, no other proto of echo delta surfaced. :gravedigging:

I heard about a guy from Norway on a forum who "might" have it. Never succeeded to access to forum or contact the guy.

Anyway I am still in search of this proto. This will be the last one I want to get.

Well it seems that nobody has any clue ...

Let's hope it will reappear one day so
