I looked at the info at Gamefaqs and it was released very late in the Saturns life. Like at the end of its life.

I've seen that many times. It's not really that expensive. The last time I saw it was in Trader in Softmap in Akihabara for I think it was 11'000 yen. Not too bad for a programming kit.

I saw that one too while in Japan.
Didn't pick up as at over 10000 yen that was bit too much and was with missus... :p

if BASIC is the same BASIC I remember from 8-bit era I doubt what you can do with it... don't think you can program any decent game with it although on gifted hand even BASIC can produce some amazing stuff...

still good for Saturn collection and I'm intend to get one eventually to complete my useless-but-cool Saturn collection. :D

    cheers

Saw it mint in Akihabara (that small store with all the Saturn stuff on the 2nd floor, GP took me there) for 8000 yen. I was tempted to get it but thought it a bit too much for a single item :-(

That is still way expensive for one thing you would have to spend months tring to learn.(if you don't know how to program{like me})

Hehe -- didn't see the link the first time.
Yeah, they're out there. Not the rarest of titems, but not super easy to find either. I assume you'd need the keyboard to do anything with it.

As far as I know the software writing itself is done on PC. A long time ago I worked with basic so who knows..you might see some of my shoddy basic game on Saturn sometime :smt082
