Since I just set up a projector in my basement ( ), I figured I post some pics of my new setup. A few of you may remember my old set-up, which was pretty shitty--I think this is a good deal better. Hoping to replace the projector eventually (prob. next 6 months) w/ a high quality LCD screen--the projector, however, is of surprisingly good quality. I'm pretty amazed, myself. I like my speakers the best though. Coupled with the large screen, cranked up, they boom. It's like being in the movies...which makes sense, considering they are THX certified, afterall. Anyhow, pics: That's all of my games that I currently own (save N64/PC/DS)--it has shrunk since I last posted, as I had a lot of crap titles that I didn't play. The sub is on the right--200 watts, it's in the corner so the sound refracts across the room. The speaker wires weren't long enough, so had to direct them away from each other to get clear channel audio--that too is set-up to "bounce" off the walls. The laptop is down there for the sole purpose of Xbox Live play--until I get a suitable wireless adapter or switch to cable internet, that's the only way I can get on. I don't have a sofa (yet--next on the list), so I just sit in a chair next to the projector while playing. Some misc. stuff--DK Bongos, Crystal Xbox box (imported from the UK--amazing saga of a story  ), SNES, 2 DC keyboards, a PS2 controller, 4 N64 Rumble packs, DC mouse, random [un-needed] RF cables, 2 Jump pack packages, one of which is holding a jump pack, and two hiding SNES controllers. And a bunch of strategy guides. Oh, and an extra sealed copy of Halo 2 CE, loose Donkey Kong Country cart (first home console game I ever owned), and sealed Zelda Collection (4 games on 1 GC disc pack-in). What the projector looks like in action. It's very nice for movies and stuff, Halo 2 doesn't look too shabby either--except for the abundance of black colouring, which it isn't very good at displaying. Due to the size, some detail is sacrificed, but it's pretty decent. And yes, I know the picture is somewhat skewed, but I can't fix it, so shut-up. It's pretty much negated by the fact that I have it set to widescreen, so the letterboxing kinda hides it. More of a tour of my set-up, as I don't really have much of a collection (kinda burned out on that). Hope you enjoyed it, comments appreciated, yada yada yada...[/conclusion]
You sure? Just about every projector I've seen has the ability to change rhombus perspective. It's usually called keystone. You probably know this already but I just thought I'd mention it as it's not an obvious word.
It was $1,000 two years ago; now an improved model sells for $900. This specific one I imagine you could get for around $500 or so, if you looked hard enough. I did change the keystone on it, didn't fix it completely though. :smt067
