I recently got some items in a bulk purchase of dev items and these were amongst them. Basically I have little information on them and wondered if anyone could help identify what they are and what there purpose was/is?

First off is the Sunplus labelled items -

This next item came boxed but with no indications of what it's use is -

    Front - [IMG]
    Back - [IMG]
    Connectors - [IMG]

Next is the Elan; these first two look like different revisions of the same board -

    Next board -

Then some other various boards -

Like I said I have only very limited info as the seller wasn't 100% sure of what they were either (chinese wispers from what he had been told before) and I apologise for the terrible pictures.

I'd love to hear what you all think...

ICE for a video processing unit. Sunplus makes tv-vga converters and the like.

Forgot to mention in the original post but I was told the Elan items may relate to the development of the Namco tv plug in units.

While this is bumped... What exactly do you know about SunPlus stuff? I found one of these: http://www.amazon.com/MGA-358787-Bratz-Life-Game/dp/B000Q79QB6 and it had a Sunplus SPG291 processor in it. I've been trying to flash the SPG291 with custom firmware, but I'm having trouble figuring out the JTAG and the S+ Core software :p.

That's not quite the same as the SPG stuff I have played with, mostly -- but isn't that the same chip as in the HyperScan? I dumped the flash of that thing for casm; you might be able to catch him on EFnet in #spg if you'd like to chat about it. If you can post any PCB pictures, we might be able to help you work out JTAG.
