It's nice but it's really nothing but a collection of photos of the guys collection. If you can find it the Japanese book "Electronic Game Collectors" is better and has more in the way of information.

A nice game website is this one

    http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/~kiden/index.htm

As it has animations and more fun information on the games (it is in Japanese but there are translator sites...).

The handheld museum is also a better source of decent information.

I do remember department stores having a number of games on display which people could play with. It was great to see so many of them as a young lad. :)

Obviously G&W were the best, but Acclaim made some really good LCDs. SmashTV and Bart Vs. The Space Mutants were great. Unfortunately I never got to play the other ones.

Rather sweeping statement, Nintendo did make some good games but not all the G&W games were good, some are quite dull when it comes down to it, but the Nintendo fan boys ignore this fact. People tend to ignore the fact that Tomy, Bandai, Epoch all made good games too.

My aunt brought me a pretty cool "Double Dragon" LCD game from England in 1990 or so. You wore it, like a watch. It was pretty entertaining.

I still have many of my older brother's Mattel LED games, like Armor Attack and Basketball, and a pretty cool two player Football. Those used 9 Volt square batteries.

    And they were awesome.

They did. However, G&W were the best hands down. The bad thing about them was the price and I suppose still is.

I remember having the first TMNT LCD game.

I rember, too, when I was in elementary school in a big super market they had Tiger Electronic's LCD games on display to play with. The only game I remember from them was Sonic 2.

Yeah, but were they convenient in control? Or they were good only for posing? :p

Btw, I was amased when a year ago I found an LDC watch game with Star Fox...on a little comic/manga store! o_O Note that this store doesn't sell videogames.
