Hey, I'm looking for a rare optoelectronic part released only in Japan. It's a phototransistor from toshiba, they've got good detection characteristics. Anybody could look at their local denki store and see if they've got : TPS601A (F)? I'd need about 6 pcs. I need it for a micromouse I'm building.

do you know the common electronic devices they are found in?
because you could just buy the device on ebay and harvest the part

I'm pretty sure that my local denkya, Yamada, does not carry phototransistors.

Anyone willing to do the trip to your local electronic store?;p
Or are there any online distributor shops in Japan (like farnell or digikey) that I could browse?

Even Akiba (Akihabara) is not anymore the best way to find rares video games , this is probably the best place to find electronics parts and often really cheap

I think it is still the best (= fastest) way to find rare video games, but certainly not the cheapest way.

What the australian lager are you talking about? Did you reply in the wrong thread? The subject was about electronic components and not games, I just suggested that Akihabara was probably the best place as there are still a large number of electronic shops there, it's not all video games and maid cafes you know.

Sp!nz, Yes it does, You've done whats known as 'going off-topic'. One thread is made to discuss one thing, that's how forums work. Welcome to the internet!

thanks at least for checking that out :)

I see that leocom.jp is the JP farnell alternative, and they have them in stock. But having 5 of them shipped to me would be like 30$, so I'll just pass for now ;)
