Elemental Gearbolt Assassin's Case

Hey all,

I have a friend (worked at Working Designs and on the game, actually) who owns an Elemental Gearbolt Assassin's Case/Guncon pack. I'm curious as to how much it's worth, or what I should try and offer him for it. I don't have any pictures of the item, but I'm just kind of curious about the general range of what it goes for. The only three posts I've seen is a Dtoid article about one selling for 800$, a post on here with someone trying to sell for 6,000$, and another post about someone lying to ASSEMbler about his kid breaking the Guncon. I imagine my friend's copy is used, but it's still fairly rare.

There were different versions of it: One given out in a Japanese prize competition and one on E3 in Los Angeles. Is your friends' version the one with a regular grey GunCon or with a golden GunCon?

At one point assembler wanted one. It's his site, Maybe offer it to him first? It's such a particular item, It really is worth what someone would pay for it. The one for six grand never sold on here as far as I remember. So I would assume less than that.

 

I think he tried to sell that over at DigitPress too, I believe some offers were thrown around the $1500-$2000 range.
