Figured I'd do an intro post. I'm Gorkagirl - the name comes from an old non-video based game known as Gorkamorka. I'm a small time old video game collector in the UK. I grew up with only an NES until the PS1 became cheap and affordable, but watching my cousin always trade in his console for the newest and best one, getting only a few plays of random games made me fascinated with the technology - the evolution of gaming. And so, now in my adult years, I collect older stuff and have fun with it. I have an Atari 2600, Mega Drive, NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, N64, Gamecube, and the first three generations of Playstation consoles. i've also recently been looking into plug-in peripherals for my consoles so that I can make use of import games without having to have a second console, with a whole mass of power converters and so on. So far, I have a successful region unlock on the Gamecube thanks to Action Replay and a SNES adapter that works intermittently (thread about that already made) I also have a want to make a MAMEcade at some point. I figure that's enough about what brings me here, so I'll just leave it as a 'hi' and a 'feel free to ask me anything'.
