Using a PS/2 keyboard. I reseated ram and tried a different OS but it didn't do anything. Doesn't matter know as the board appears to be non functional. Doubt I static'ed it since i wa susing a wristband.

I may be soon. I got a fair few 478 mobos in from dead machines I need to test.

So I figure I should put an end to this saga.

The computer was flashed with the HP bios as it had the stock mobo (Very hard to find info on it but It was stock) However the mobo was essentially dead. It was manufactured in 2002 by eMachines. Back then they were still using 'Bestec' power supplies. It's rated for 250w but It couldn't put that out on a good day.

It had a shit 5v standby circuit, caps would go bad after a while (They used the caps that were manufactured with the stolen & incomplete recipe (Google capacitor plague for more info) and it would jump from 5v to 12v and blow just about everything connected to the power supply.

Later models don't have that problem but I still wouldn't trust hem.
