So a friend comes over and decides to be helpful and update my mozilla which kills my thunderbird email. In the end, all of my files get written over. All of them. Every single one. Poof! There goes every single piece of email for the last two years. My server orders and logins My customer lists My proof of fraud emails from the guy in france for my paypal cases My paypal dispute emails Everything is gone forever. This is certainly the worst thing to happen to me in the last year. I am going out to have a beer.
DAmn, sorry to hear that. Isn't there a way to recover that? Maybe via harddrive recovory? Would be really really shitty if there isn'T a way to get those back
Update turned into a uninstall command? Sorry to hear that, I hope you'll be able to recover from it somehow.
Sir, I'm really sad to hear that. You should probably ask Mozilla customer support? Is there any sort of recovery software?
There's gotta be a way to retrieve at least some of the missing data. Has absoultely everything been written over?
use something like quetek, provided the installer wrote into a different space on the hdd your files may be recoverable
Are you sure that mozzilla didnt just change your profile to default? Something like that happened to me and it took almost a whole afternoon to get everything back. Than I had to reinstall it.
Man, that's messed up. I know how you feel. Have you tried the file recovery method in System Mechanic 5. It works most of the time.
