OK this is an embarrassing one, I have had a modded Saturn for some time, it has a 50/60 HZ switch on the back but its also switchless region free. this thing is for obvious reasons its been in NTSC-J mode for as long as I can remember but I just got a PAL copy of Guardian Heroes and at least want to test it. Any info I can find online is about holding in the reset button but this seems to have no effect however long I hold it in other than resetting the console. The only clue I have is a sticker I put on it that says NTSC-J 1 PAL 6 but I have no idea how to cycle through. I do know its an old mod, the shop it was done at signed if off in 1998. Thanks in advance for any help.
Put the system in 50Hz mode and then hold the reset button until it cycles through. Hold it for a few seconds. If it is like the other switchless mods out there, it should have a color changing LED that tells you the region.
Now I feel even more silly, it wasn't switchless, the switch was inside the cartridge slot..... Thanks for your help Joey and sorry for wasting your time.
