EMERGENCY: Xbox Power Supply

Guys I am posting this as an emergency. My Xbox just died on me, and I can't send it into microsoft because I modded it. I'm in need of an Xbox Power Supply... for the original xbox. I found this out at the worst time... I'm at a LAN party typing this trying to play halo! >_< I also need it because I'm going to be spending alot of time in and out of the hospital within the next few months and the games I backed up onto my hard drive will keep me occupied. :-\


Does anyone here have a spare Xbox power Supply? It's not a 1.6 model, the manufactor date is 2003 so it's not 1.0. Anyone? DeadPerfect I'm looking at you bud. ;-) I kid I kid.

I'm not asking for a freebie, I know it looks that way. But I'm more than willing to pay... I just need a power supply ASAP!

 

Try just replacing the fuse in the power supply.

 

im assuming you have a 1.2-1.5 i have a power supply i can sell you , if you could take a picture so i can make sure. $15 shipped.

 

it would definitly be 1.2 - 1.5 Have you had a look for a fuse yet? I dont know if the power boards have them or not but if they do you should be able to fix it that way. The fuse may be white and not clear as most fuses. In that case you need a contanuity tester. If the fuse is bad pull and replace it with the exact same type. If the fuse is bad and soldierd in place you will need to remove it and soldier in a new one in its place.

llama doesn't have hte pwoer supply i need. they only have 1.0-1.1. The one with 10 pins on teh power connector. i have 20.

 

The Xmas lights Xbox I have here is made in 2004, no idea what that would be...

Your xbox should be a V1.4 or V1.5,and that power supply will work for just fine in XxHennersXx xbox.

i gutted a 1.6 box today and it won't turn on, i'm assumming because the cables plugging into the motherboard don't match up. >_> how many different PSU's did they make for the xbox?!

 

You will need a power supply from a V1.2 thru V1.5 xbox.

i have a couple of usa psu's but no way of testing them unfortunatly, if you want one its yours as long as you pay shipping, but like i say i have not idea it they work or not as dont have a stepdown to test them on
