Hi all, Yesterday I noticed that I have a -1 reputation. This seems to be a kind of member voting system that I had not discover until that time. Well, my -1 reputation was left by a member named Trekkie (a person that I don't have the pleasure to know by now) and points to the following thread: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=447001#post447001 The comment left by Trekkie is: Stop buming your shit The problem is that my english is not as good as I'd like and I don't understand the phrase. So, can someone please explain me these words or even translate them to spanish for me? Thanks in advance, Joe.
Uhmm i'll try: Pare ese " up" para conseguir su "thread" en arriba In English, he was irritated by all your "up" bumps.
I'll translate it into Spanish for you. Deja de subir tu mierda (de hilo). La traducción es un poco literal, pero la idea es que dejes de escribir "up" para subir tu hilo. Si necesitas algo de traducción, avÃsame. Un saludo.
I wouldn't worry about it. I've only ever been repped twice I'm sure most people don't know or care about this system
I'm pretty sure on a message forum it would be "stop bumPing your shit" as in you want your thread at the top of the main sub forum page, so you reply to yourself and "bump" it to the top. I assume that is a typo.
No problem. I personally LIKE the karma system. If people care to post good stuff, they get good feedback.
Salu2 gente! Me fascina que hay tantos hispano hablantes en assembler, me siento mas solo en cualquier otro foro!
Uno mas tequila y uno limon por favor (har har. actually I do speak more conversational spanish than french. Funny for a guy from canada!)
Yes, I remember those days, 2004 (for me), 7 years since now! I had two wonderful experiences: The first was to find Assember´s old site, it was like to discover that I was not alone. The second was to see a spanish reply form Xerdo to something that I asked at the forums, it was like to find some family between the new friends. Thanks to all of you. Thanks to all the members that have talked with me, helped me or deal with me. Gracias a todos tios. (Hostia 7 años ya, no me habia dado cuenta).
Joe Sancho: Mate, thank you too. Eva01: Yup, then there were some dudes from Argentina, and then there was Garlo, and more people from Spain. In fact, there's still just three Mexican members: Eva01, Garlo, and Xerdo.
