Epic Fail (360)

I had a lan Friday night. It was supposed to be a night full of fun and excitement playing Rainbow Six and Shadowrun. Instead we got this. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.







In one night, we had a total of 3 red rings. And another red ring just two days later... What a weekend... OH:

RROD is contagious you idiots, don't you know anything?!

This is why I still play my ps3 more although the XBOX has more things I like - build quality is next to fat ASS.

we almost just had everyone go home but we got a couple replacements. so that night did go on, it was just a little more... emotional...

 

shit and those are all elites if I'm not mistaken!

That DarkSector 360 looks pretty poorly ventilated. Leave enough space for the air to circulate around your radiator, man! ;-)

 

Oh man, that sucks big time.

I would have grabbed the first blunt object in sight and beat the crap out of those 360's :evil:

 

yeah, all three are Elites. that same night, my little bro's 360 (pro model) got a red ring, too but i took off the hard drive and it started working. and still another 360 (halo 3 special edition) got a single red light and an error message. pretty scary stuff.

the 360 that is poorly ventilated isn't mine. mine's the one on top...

 

So far it's just me and mike that went to the LAN party that didn't have any problems.

and uh...yeah that was an emotional lan party...everyone was angry...or just straight bummed, and lost the will to play...

 

Was it really hot or did they have enough power? What do you think caused so many to fail in one night?

 

Well jon's room had a power flicker but that was it. As for hot? It GOT hot with that many 360's. It was cold, no heating. so it was weird. everyone had their 360's on a desk or something else to keep it off the carpet. I dunno man. It was scary, like a nerdy horror movie.

 

Don't you mean lost the MEANS to play? ;-)

 

Nah, everyone got theirs running again. Except my girlfriends, we borrowed another friends for her to play on. Everyone was just angry, and it kinda was a bummer.

 

No offense (as I know how much a red ringed box sucks), and I hate this abbreviated term, but the only thing I can think of too say to this is:

Dennis wants to do a Halo 2 LAN. I think that might be kind of fun. Brings back senior year... haha

 

my DAMN x360 showed also RROD the 3rd time last week ... i just went ahead and bought a new ... this RROD fixing seems not to last long ;(

 

i'm down for a Halo 2 lan. as long as everyone has it and can play. :110:

 

Or everyone WANTS to play....Kyle and Dennis weren't feeling SR at all that night.

 

bums. that's what i say. i'm down for playing ANYTHING, ANYTIME. except sometimes i don't feel like playing all those adult mahjong games you always want to play...
