Eu / Me and Kiff for Marketplace

Hi there,
kiff, me, and our friends was thinking about be an new mod for marketplace.
What you think about it? Need marketplace another mod?
Kiff and me will do near anything for assemblergames.... We both trade many times with near any true member of assemblergames.
We both love this place, and we want to give something back.

To tell the truth, the sales area doesn't need a special mod. We've got it under control but thaks for the offer. Maybe there's something else you could do for the site? Have a word with ASSEMbler via a PM.

 

I don't support anyone whose signature image breaks the forum layout.

 

Kiff would be a great mod, but Until the marketplace starts being more organised, maybe in a vB addon, I can't see that another mod is needed, I have seen no problems.

 

Should just make a rank for trusted traders

 

Yeah, we have a rank system in our Swiss gamer forum and it works great.

There's a positive counter for any positive deals and a negative counter for any negative deals. If someone trespasses more than five neg. deals, he will be banned from any further tradings in the forum.

Sure that need some mod(s) to take care of it. Also the cause of any neg. deal has to be proven with facts, before it is accredited as a neg. deal.

 

It wasn't really a need to accredit trusted members with a rank but more to have a dedicated moderator for the marketplace section.

I think the moderators on this site do a great job and I would hate anyone to think I don't appreciate the effort and hardwork that people put in but at the same time I feel a few things have gone un-noticed or maybe could have been nipped a little quicker.

I would love to give something back to the site and after speaking with Jackhead we are of the same opinion. I am not the most technical member of the site so not sure I could help out with other things but after literally hundreds of trades/sales on the forum I think this is where I could be of most use.

 

I´d say that the mods here are doing a great job but I´d also love to see kiff and Jackhead as mods for the marketplace, two big plus points would be: both are very experienced when it comes to dev related hw and sw and both are great guys from what I can tell so far.

 

In my opinion, would be excellent to have Kiff and Jackhead as marketplace moderators.

Surely, any extra trusted staff would be a bonus? Even if there isn't a huge ammount of work for them to do at present, having them as part of the team would be a great asset to the forum.

Both members are highly trust worth if you ask me, it would be ashame to not take them in and let them help out where possible.

Obviously these are my thoughts, hopefully Kev will think along the same lines..

To be honost, and with all do respect to Kiff and Jackhead which are really straight up guys.

I would rather see mods having at least 3000 posts and registered 5 years ago, especially for something like the marketplace.
Plus if extra mods are needed the admin and mods themselfs will find/approach the people they find qualified for the job themselfs.

At the end of the day, with or without the official rank of mod, everybody that cares about this site is a mod on his own level and can comment on all the wrongs at own wish. The power to delete threads and posts tho, I would rather see reserved for the least people possible, to prevent unneeded censorship as much as possible.

 

If its Jackhead's your referring to it doesn't for me. Maybe you have a low resolution?

 

It was, but yours messes it up too (716 pixels wide).

 

There are many different ways to contribute to this site without having to be a moderator... Current mods are doing a great job! :nod:

The point kiff and i want to talk about is to support and enhance the marketplace. We also very happy with it, and of corse the mods do an great job! We better talk about marketplace and not about being an "mod".
Tatsujin spoke about an rank system. Its one point. I dont know how you guys think about the feedback part of marketplace.
An updated rank system have many good features, but need maintenance.

Not that I am here often enough for this to really affect me, but I think that Kiff & Jackhead would make excellent marketplace mods. I've dealt with Kiff on several very large value sales and he's always been 100%, very efficient and exacting.

Jackhead... well, he and I have only a few sales, but I do know he's been excellent and a trusted member of AG.

Thumbs up if a position becomes available for either / both of them.

 

I would say its good if someone will "protect" the marketplace,so its not needless to make some mods for this area..i would love to see KIFF as an mod at this part of the board..I would feel like more safe at the "protected" marketplace!!!ray:
