Eurocon, the annual gathering of Retro-Gaming Enthusiasts from all over Europe and the rest of the world is having its 10 year anniversary this year. On October 23-25th the Eurocon will take place in Vienna, Austria, Europe. Find all the info here: http://www.eurocon.info/ If you are Austrian (or life closeby to Vienna in some other countries) and do not want to take part in the eurocon: Come to "retrobörse" - a public sale of videogames with ~ 30 international sellers at the Technical University Vienna on the 24th as part of the Eurocon http://www.retroboerse.at I know, this is not the most "retro" forum out there, and those interested will know about it anyway from atariage or other similar places, but it would be great to see some of you there
I was at Eurocon when it was in Denmark, it was fun until the Starwars idiots came by in their storm trooper suits, and the local TV2 branch recorded their shit. But I think Eurocon is cool, as long the TV stays the fuck away.
TV ??? Star Wars ??? are you sure we are talking about the same thing ;-) the problem with "Eurocon" is that it just means Europea Convention, saying nothing about the contents ... I guess the one you talked about was the Science Fiction Eurocon in Denmark ... ours is strictly Retrogaming only (with a lot less people also that is ... just googled it and 500 is a lot ...) Tenchi, michal99: cool ! send an email to the address mentioned on the website for further info, if you haven't done so yet
Yup, I was of course talking about the Science Fiction Eurocon. So cool to the retrogaming convention. I wish I could go there , but I think it would be a bit expensive, flying from Copenhagen to Vienna both ways. But then again who knows. Sorry for the misunderstanding when it comes to the "Eurocons".
