(europe Pal) Megadrive Model 1 High definition grapics compatibility issues with certain games

So i Have a model 1 megadrive Pal european version
It's the version with the high definition text on it,

It works perfectly fine played many different games on it have never had any issues with it but there are two games that do not seem to work on this console

NBA jam tournament edition gives a blue screen
Fatal rewind after the electronic art logo screen and warranty text it just won;t go on

Yet if I play these games on my megadrive model 2 they work perfectly fine. I have played many games on this console and I find this pretty strange

Is my console a bit broken or are certain version of the megadrive in the pal regions incompatible with certain games. Love to hear some opinions or people who had the same experiences.

Or maybe if people could try it out for these specific 2 games on a pal megadrive model 1 with the high definition grapics text on it wich would confirm that my console is a bit damaged for certain games.

 

can you try it through a datel cheat device or a region adapter or something. and also try to power on and pres reset ones. I think a few newer games are affected by a bug in the old mega drive v1 as some others rely on it and wont work correctly in a model2?

 

Well that could work but not the normal way like it should

I've at least played a couple hundred of different games on this console and only two have this issue on this console.

I can't find any list with incompatible games except for the genesis model 3 wich even than not a solid list, is it a normal thing that some titles do not work on certain models?

 

i thinc thats the case. Ofen has to do with tmss or whats it called? the copyprotect screen that shows up before the sega logo. the hd models hasnt got it.

as an example, my copy of water margins freezes after a while on thw hd mega drive, but playes fine on my model 2.
im sure amiv read about other examples but cant think of any now.
