I have recently purchased a sadly neglected Net Yaroze which lacks any of the dev kit software (Green CDrom) or the Net Yaroze dongle (Black Memory card with Net Yaroze written on it). I don't suppose anyone out there has either spare documentation, original copies of the CDrom, manuals and a spare dongle do they? If so please get in touch with a suggested price in Euro or £ Sterling.

If so, please PM or email me. Many thanks! <long shot!> ;-)

I don't remember but does the net yaroze system have the parrelt port on it? if so you can use an action replay to bypass the check I did that with my scph-1001 system to use those discs

The yaroze has the parallel port on it.
I have a xplorer lying somewhere but it needs a reflashing, it's just junk now...

Quite frankly if you're planning on using the Yaroze for writing code, rather than collecting it, then I'd suggest an xploder fx + caetla. Then use catflap to upload code from your PC. If you can get hold of a late version of PSYQ then you can write better code than you can for Yaroze.

You're right, but then any 10$ ps1 will do, no need for a net yaroze...

Yeah, that was sorta my point.
Although the Yaroze is a nicer colour.

Yeah, I discovered that when I started looking at NY stuff, but I had already committed myself to purchasing the unit (and luckily it was really, really cheap) however it is a lovely, black, fuzzy-felt of a thing and just looks cool ;-)

I am a collector, but also a musician and I am always interested to know more about how each console was programmed for audio. Eventually, I will try it out and see what the units were capable of. I have been doing the same thing with Xbox.

A mate of mine is into games programming, so we are considering combining our talents - he already has several Atari titles under his belt (from the days of old, rather than the Infogrammes version of Atari). Just for a bit of experience and perhaps to provide audio for other games developers (eventually), if we can tame the old dev kits and coax them back into life!

Thanks for the tip regarding other avenues. I will be searching them out, but for the obvious / usual reasons I'll still hunt down the 'official' stuff Access Card too if I can find one that's reasonably priced.

    also looking for parts

I am also looking for spare (japanese) yaroze parts, if anybody can provide me with the dev tools cd / access card or manuals.. I want to bring my old yaroze back to life but I lost most of the parts during my younger years moving around :( so if anybody has spare parts for sale or the whole thing let me know! thanks in advanced!

Where are you? There are 2 Net Yaroze on eBay at present. They appear to be complete.

I placed a post in eBay section of marketplace for one of them. The other is a Japanese unit, which I think is being sold by Japan Games.

Hope that helps - if you find a spare dongle (well 2 actually as you'll need one) then let me know ;-)

Hi Thanks for your reply, I actually saw the ads on ebay the european one is complete but I will have to keep an eye on it for another 4 days (though it will probably sell for a huge amount as its already 200 euro's with so much time left.. :( and the other one Japan Games is selling is not complete and missing the access card as well.. so kinda useless.. :/ anyway if I can find an additional access card i'll let you know!
