today my european DS arrived! Official launch date march'11, but thanks to an special action I was able to obtain it now :-D (limited to about 3000 packages in europe) contents *Nintendo DS - European System *Powersupply *stylus 2x *tumb thingy *Wario Ware Touched - Demo (eu version) (big demo!!) *Metroid hunter - Demo (us version) *Mario 64 DS - Full version, ... but the cart is USA the box european!!!! strange aint it (and it HAD the official nintendo sealing) and an 'touch me' tshirt. ---- I must say this is an pretty neat package, and I'm glad I bought it. Pictures will follow soon :-D --- Picture time :smt033
I though 250 for every 'vip' country ... but the probally gave the bigger country's more units. awell 3000 is still not to shabby :-D
Nice, mine shoudl be somewhere in the post, if nintendo would get a bloody move on and believe that my parents don't mind what i spend my money on and cash my cheque. did you pay by card wombat?
I hope you enjoy your DS... I certainly am.... I highly recomend spending an extra $30 USD, and getting the 3rd party movie player. It just makes the DS that much better..
I hope you're not horribly dissapointed with your DS, I am. Fuck the touchscreen, fuck the second "map" screen, just make some decent fucking software for the thing.
Good things come to those who wait though. You should have waited for the price to come down and abigger library of games before you picked 1 up instead of paying full whack @ launch and getting very little :smt009
£20 more than the UK price for the unit and 2 games, 3 and a half months early. I know which I would rather have.
But oyu oculd pay that a year down the line when the price is lower and get better games, and more fo them, maybe even to be extra cheapass pick up 2nd hand unit and games around christmas ;-)
............ good on you for gettimg them early..pre-ordered mine yesterday from gamestation after playing on their in store unit. First time I had seen one in the flesh (so to speak) and I was pretty impressed, they only had mario DS but the guy let me play it for nealry 30 mins and we were chatting for ages about it, he ran through the features and I was sold. I'll be the first to admit the graphics on mario DS did look a little rough but it ran smooth and the stylus control is pretty good, not like I expected, the units a little big, but I have big hands so thats a bonus. Anyway, £99.99 with metroid prime demo (and possibly others he isnt too sure on the official games/demo biddles with the machine), but for a change Im actulay excited for the launch of a handheld. (and impressed with gamestations service for a change) That same day I also went into Game (get ready for some bashing here, I hate that store), they had a DS demo unit in a pod thing but it wasnt switched on, I asked them if they could switch it on, a simple case of bending down, flicking the power switch to the adapter and leting me have a go..........needless to say they couldnt be bothered and span some shite about the battery being dead and needing charging even though you could see the pod was plugged into the mains......great customer service...but enough bitching. But hope you all enjoy your DS you lucky early buggers!!
the warioware demo is really good (and big!) can't wait till the full version comes to the stores! (yeah I know the japanese one is already released.. but I rather have an ENG copy )
Ummm ... There was 3000 packages for UK & Ireland. Rest of Europe probably had another 3000 then ... or 3000 for different regions .... EDIT: Looks like it was limited to like 21000 copies across Europe ... suddenly not so limited!
rayer: hehe thats allot..... No i'm confused... could any one clear this up? is there anyone who knew how much of these packages were released in europe? ah well one thing is for sure.... I'm really happy with it :-D
there wasnt 3000 a region! There was - 3000 for UK 1000 for deutschland 1000 for nederland 1000 for belgium 1000 for spain 1000 for the frenchies 1000 for the italinians total = 9000 IM STILL WAITING FOR MINE! :smt022
But considering the only thing original is a sticker on the box, hardly anything to get excited about. I very much doubt it will be worth much (money or collector-wise) in the future. Mind you saying that, look at the "Toyota Dreamcast" that is "just" a DC with a sticker on it. £130?... for that I could import a PSP next month...
