I remember posting that pic on the old board, baisicly these be placed in hotels and you would pay for any game you would want to play on them.

I remember one board member spending $3500 or something on it :smt043

And now, in the useless-quasi-information-about-japan section, Super Potato in Akihabara has one of these standing in the hallway :drinkers:

Hey man, please don't hotlink to my images.

It's cool this time, as I'm sure you didn't know I was a member of the board here. I'm hope you like my site and feel free to save any of the pics you want (as I stole them all myself anyway.)

But please, don't hotlink to them. My site already got shut down last month becasue of bandwith theft. Sad thing is I know everyone does it. When I go through my logs the majority of my refferers are from other boards where people are hotlinking my images. While I apprecite this (as it brings me traffic) all that adds up, resulting in my site shutting down.

For some reason the hotlink protection on my server doesn't work (at least when I try to set it from the web.) I don't actually run the server, a friend of mine set it up for me (and acts as admin) but I think he's getting sick and tired of me calling his ass all the time whenever I get website problems. I'm sure he can set it up for me though, so the next time you might be seeing a very rude image instead of the Famicom Box. I don't mean to be a jerk about it but this is more than an inconvience to me, especially when it happens on a board I frequent.

Anyway, please refrain from doing it in the future, if you don't mind. At lest not to me.

I'm sincerely sorry - my internet skillz don't extend to the point of knowing how things like hotlinking images can affect a site. I've taken it down. Please accept my apology.
By the way - I may have some very cool images of cloned stuff for your site soon - stuff hard to come by on the internet.

Hey no problem, I know it's a very common thing we all do on BBS everywhere. I've got to get my hotlink protection fixed, it's starting to be a pretty big problem for me.

It's cool man, just put the link to the picture without the tags:

http://hawanja.com/sfamicom_box.bmp

That way it only shows up when people click on it (and saves bandwith)

Hawanja, you could also convert all of your pictures to JPEG. It's much smaller than BMP, so it'll save some bandwidth too
