Is there an expected release date, or time when you will start working on a gameboy solution?

This has been asked time and time again, the NES already has a very good solution out there (PowerPak) and is very hard to design a flashcart for because of the numerous and different mapping methods used by the roms.

I had figured this, and am sorry of I asked a "one of those" questions. I understand how frustrating they are, as I am a mod on another forum. Thank you for the answer anyway though. The fact that krikzz probably won't develop one is a bummer but very understandable. I believe in many ways his products have superior support and just a better feel. I think the same is probably true about an everboy flash carts. Many gameboy ones exist already. I have 4 different ones myself

What are all of the original gameboy flash carts?

I'm looking for one that can store over 100 images(ideally sd card type) and something that has around 99% compatibility

There are none that support more than 64m of data. Or 8mb. this holds only a few games. there are no cards that have external memory. the two major carts are the EMs 64m and the bleep bloop 16m USB carts. The ems ones are easiest to buy and almost always in stock (40usd) the BB's are more for chipmusic and almost impossible to find (89usd) as far as comparability I have no idea. Plays all the good games. the gameboys only had like 3 mappers. and all I think are supported.

Top left is a non USB bleepbloop (pretty rare) top right is a net-mars emerger e card (extremely rare) and the bottom two are EMS 64m's with custom cartridge cases:

I'm no expert in GBC flash carts, but all the ones I've seen suck because they drain shitloads of battery and they only hold one save. This flash cart seems like the best to me. It holds one game and one save, but its almost 100% compatible and is a hacked up MBC5 game so it shouldn't have any battery issues. The downside it you have to make it yourself and requires special hardware to access a PC which you also have to make yourself.

If anyone here knows of a decent GBC solution (light on battery, can be bought rather than made and holds a few games and saves) let me know.

The EMS 64MB Smart USB card is the best. It should work with almost all games. Some games may require a patch to get them to work, but I have made several for the games I came across that needed one. Most GBC games should work. The main exception I think would be games that utilize a Real Time Clock (mainly Pokemon Gold/Silver) won't be able to use that feature but otherwise should play ok. Given the low cost of the EMS 64M carts I highly recommend them as they are good carts in my experience.

To put it very simple, I have not yet tried a GameBoy game that did not work that I could not find an alternative version that worked or been unable to fix yet. There may be a few games that won't work, but I imagine 99% of those you want to play will work fine.

It would be neat if you could have a Gameboy cartridge that had higher capacity than 8 Megabytes but maybe someday someone will make something better.

The bleepbloop is a mcb5 cart. It was actually a stolen design of a guys Internet page on home made carts. My e-card holds multiple saves and copies straight from other cards but also from a computer. In my opinion deffinetly the best one, I had 3 different pokemons, metroid 2, and warioland 2 all with saves on it. they are almost impossible to find though
