Everdrive⁶⁴ ?

Do you want an Everdrive 64?

I hate this type of thread but I have to ask.

With the Neoteam releasing their very much overpriced and downright crafty Neo Myth 64 (want SD support? Go buy our overpriced GBA flash cart!!), does Krizz plan to make an N64 cart?

I know there is more protection to thwart on these and larger flash sizes etc, but would it be something of interest?

I'd love one but there's not much chance I'd pay Neoteam's prices!

Anyone else interested in the idea?

I'm not a fan of the T-onnector either. Though you can install a lockout chip in the cart I hear.

I suppose stealing one from a World Cup 90 cart or something would be easy enough, there are plenty of them about and they go for next to nothing.

There are about 5 different lockout chips around, every other game needs a different one.

Games can be patched though to require another security chip.

One could patch the games on the fly to use clean roms.

Yeah apparently the Neo Myth does do some sort of patching as if you use Donkey Kong or similar it'll play anything. Probably why you need to use their proprietory software.

That seems like an excellent idea.

Really it comes down to price.

Whatever the price, I think it'd be safe to assume that it'd be cheaper than Neoteam's offering and knowing the Everdrives, much easier to use.

The more the merrier, the N64 myth costs about 288$ incl. SD enabled gba cart. The 64drive was estimated at 170$, so if the Everdrive64 can get closer to 100$ while still having 64MB ram + SD/CF slot, why not?

If it's around 120 bucks or less then yes.

I own a Z64 so I don't need a flash cart, but I'm thinking about getting a 64drive anyways... If KRIKzz can match its feature set while being a bit cheaper I might be tempted.
