I just got my ED64 today (it's brilliant BTW, thanks krikzz for an excellent product ) and whilst setting it up I found this odd bug:

If you give the FAT filesystem on the SD card for your Everdrive 64 the label "ED64", the Everdrive will behave as if no OS64.v64 is on the SD at all.
If you label it with anything else, the Everdrive will boot and it will show a 0 byte file in the root of the SD with the same name as the label.

This happens with 3 SD cards (1GB SD, 4GB SDHC, 32GB SDHC).

    My ED64 cartridge is:
    H/W v2
    Bootloader v3
    BFW: 2
    CIC: 6102
    On a PAL (UK) N64.

That's because windows creates a hidden file to store that name you assigned to the SD card. So making it ED64 confuses the ED64 and it won't find the OS files.

So its not really a bug, it a Windows thing. I suggest if you want to name it you name it "EVERDRIVE64".

Thanks. I didn't realise that it did that.
