Just to be clear, the USB version has flash memory inside? What capacity?

I'd recommend to wait until krikzz releases a version with a DSP socket.

I believe it has the same flash memory and everything as the non-usb version. It just also includes a usb controller and miniusb jack, for updating os and flashing code w/o using the SD card.

I too would like to wait for a revision with a DSP-1 socket if possible, not that there is anything wrong with the current version mind.

If the firmware can be updated through USB, then I may consider the USB version.

There's really a handful of games that fully utilize the DSP chip. The only one I'd really want to play on the Super EverDrive is Mario Kart and that's about it....unless I'm missing something.

EDIT: Just got my answer RE: USB firmware update. It's JTAG only. I'm in for SD only.

I'd say SD. krikzz also said that he won't be doing a DSP-1 soon, but he will, so what are we going to do? Doesn't matter to me either way.

the money would go to me, then to him to save on fees. He cannot get paypal.

he would then mail them to each person in the purchase.

oh, ok. 65$ is practically a steal for a flash cart.

ASSEMbler I think there is some confusion here, the poll makes it seem like you can only have either SD version or USB version - thats not the case. It should be:-
    SD version or
    SD & USB version
I am guessing this has probably affected the votes/results as well  Maybe the poll should be reset?

well if we all decide to wait, he will probably release the DSP version earlier ;-) I just want a cart with the holes for a DSP-chip. I don't need the chip on the cart because I can solder it by myself.

If the USB doesn't do a firmware update, I personally and most others, would have little use for it.

I think the SD/USB (as it were) version is more homebrew friendly for those who need it. it eliminates taking out the SD card each and every time you need to update code. If I was a developer, I'd probably want it.

I think if anyone has taken a look at the specs on KRIKzz site, they'd know about the different versions of the Super EverDrive.

I'd say just go with the SD version for the group buy. The SD/USB version is a great option, but unless there are a lot of developers jumping in this group buy, then it's kinda unneeded...again, unless I'm missing something.

Still waiting to see if this works on clone SNES consoles, mainly the Retro Duo.

I'll take it but I'd be kicking myself if a DSP version came out a month later..

This thing is half a retropak. So I don't care about DSP.
On the other hand ikari is currently developing some more complex snes flashcard.

He is trying to support several special chips using FPGA.
